Graphic designer and researcher based in Nancy, France, Mickael Bourguer is a graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure d’Art et de Design de Nancy (ENSAD Nancy). He designs printed objects in general and books in particular. His attention is particularly focused on the materiality of objects and different printing technologies. At the same time, he founded Paper Samples [⇗], a tool for art school students and teachers that lists papers compatible with laser printing, as well as those suitable for HP Indigo and inkjet technologies, while offering a specialised lexicon and bibliography on printed media. Currently a student-researcher at the ANRT, Atelier national de recherche typographique/ENSAD Nancy [⇗], he is beginning his exploration of typeface design, drawing on the Frutiger archives, 1961-1975.
